The Immortal es un juego isométrico de acción y aventuras, con escenas de combate y múltiples opciones en lo que respecta a la historia. Desarrollado en 1990, este juego es uno de los favoritos de los fanáticos de los viejos tiempos de Nintendo / mega drive.
El juego consiste en que el jugador controle a un hechicero sin nombre, aprendiz de Mordamir. El hechicero se enfrenta a varias criaturas mortales y trampas en una mazmorra, donde en cada etapa descubre más detalles sobre la historia de su viaje y encuentra nuevos aliados, elementos y peligros.
El jugador debe resolver acertijos, evitar trampas mortales, usar hechizos mágicos (en forma de libros y pergaminos) y adquirir varios elementos para sobrevivir al laberinto.
