Klaus is een precisiepuzzelplatformer met een zelfbewust verhaal en unieke PS4™-touchpadbesturing. Klaus' strakke en uitdagende spel is ingeïnspireerd door superprecieze klassiekers als Super Meat Boy en Megaman, in combinatie met een spannend en aangrijpend verhaal zoals in Limbo en Thomas Was Alone.
Klaus volgt een kantoormedewerker die wakker wordt in een kelder zonder enig idee van wie of waar hij is. Zijn enige aanwijzing is het woord 'KLAUS', dat op zijn arm getatoeëerd staat. Hij moet ontsnappen uit de mechanische en constructivistische wereld waar hij een gevangene van is. Samen met een ander speelbaar personage, K1 (een vriendelijke woesteling), gaat hij op een existentiële reis, waarbij de vierde wand en het feit dat de speler een spel speelt centraal staan.
